Catarman, N. Samar- The Colegio De San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila (CSLRM) High School (Dept.) joined in the Street Dancing Competition held last 22 September 2008 in line with the school's 18th Founding Anniversary.
The week-long activity commenced with a parade around Catarman which was participated in by five (5) competing units in the college department and five (30 teams in the high school department. Participants in the street dancing competition showed their best moves during the parade.
Right after the parade was the floor competition which was held at the Municipal Auditorium.
Prior to the floor competition was the announcement and presentation of contestants for the Miss CSLRM Search.
After the presentation of the different competing units in the floor exhibition, the high school department presented their Kaway Festival dressed in octopus costume.
The judges had a hard time deciding who will be the winner. Audiences were really confused choosing the best performers for all the entries were fascinating.
The winner in the floor competition was the Unit VI from the College in their "Agta-Agtahan Festival". Unit I was adjudged First Runner-Up in their "Engkanto Festival" which at the same time awarded the "Best in Costume". Second Runner-Up was the Unit IV for their "Lubi-Lubi Festival".
